2022 in Review: The UWC Legacy

In July, the University of the Western Cape renamed the Main Hall, the Jakes Gerwel Hall.

Mrs Phoebe Gerwel, helped unveil the plaque on permanent display outside the Jakes Gerwel Hall, With her is UWC Rector and Vice-Chancellor, Prof Tyrone Pretorius, who described the renaming of the Hall as “a vital act of acknowledgement”.
