A place where stories unfold

The Nubile Village Girl

The village is imperceptibly noisy at night
like the cry of a drowning boy under water
bubbling up the surface.

The nubile village girl’s face is beckoning
a neon-like laser –
‘come to my farm with me.’

At a drop of your alms
in an unadulterated cup cuddled between my thighs
your new oar shall row

in circles around my island
without the bush around
deep you shall go
up and down thrusting
before a cyclone of showers
blasts our sin.
