Mpho Nkoana is a passionate writer and an emerging talent in the film industry. During his three-year diploma in motion picture production at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), he wrote a short thriller called Final girl, which earned him the distinction of Best Achievement in Scriptwriting at the TUT Film Awards.
This year, Mpho Nkoana has proudly secured his second film award at the TUT Film Awards, this time receiving recognition for Best Achievement in Producing. Mpho shared that this award is particularly validating for him as he aspires to venture into the role of commissioning editor.

While the film awards were taking place, Mpho was at the Jakes Gerwel Foundation’s Paulet House in KwaNojoli (Somerset East), honing his television writing skills under the mentorship of Muneera Sallies and Tina Kruger. With the talent and dedication Mpho has demonstrated, he is well prepared to make his mark in the film and television industry on a global scale.
Congratulations, Mpho, on your continued success! We look forward to seeing what you do next.
