Do not launch podcasts with every
kindred soul that you meet.
Hold holy
Those interactions, exchanges
those unexpected friendships born in coffee
shops,
borne of sprightly and sporadic reverie.
Ah, you’re into Dostoyevsky too, I see
The Russians, aren’t they a marvel?
So crisp, so effortlessly adept at accessing the very axioms
Of life-mystery
But poetically.
Yes! Yes! And you’re into medicinal mushrooms?
What can I say- we’re all after third-eye insight
After some idea that’ll set the world alight
Anyway, drink up, then.
Bye, then, I need to pick up my pen.
