Noxolo Kheswa shares two tracks featuring her vocals

Noxolo Kheswa aka Noxiekay was part of the Jakes Gerwel Foundation / Suidoosterfees’ Mentorship Programme for Young Songwriters 2022 where she was mentored by acclaimed musicians and theatre makers Frazer Barry of Tribal Echo and Zolani Mahola of Freshly Ground-fame,

She fulfilled her desire to “grasp” as much as she could from mentorship at the foundation’s Paulet House, especially learning how to “accommodate the audience with sound”.

All-round entertainer Noxolo Kheswa believes in growing and creating music at a level “where you get to see how good you are and can improve yourself without thinking twice.”

KwaZulu Natal-born Noxolo who now resides in Pretoria finds expression as an Afro-pop soul vocalist, actress, presenter, and entrepreneur, often performing at restaurants, lounges, and at events.

With her deep passion for ancestral Afro-pop, Afro-soul, Afro-tech, and soulful amapiano, Noxolo says she is “always looking forward to being challenged” and taking things to the next level.

“I have so many things that I would like to initiate in my sound that will make it unique. I personally want to create my own thing, not that it cannot be done by anyone but that it sounds new to them. With songwriting, I noticed that you could be flexible with it as long as the song is not flat,” she says.

. The sounds the Songwriters created at Paulet House will be showcased at Suidoosterfees 2023.
