A place where stories unfold

Cape Talk: Clarence Ford interviews Theo Kemp

Jakes Gerwel Foundation Executive Director Theo Kemp and Clarence Ford discuss the foundation’s purpose and projects at Paulet House in Somerset East, never veering far from the life, times and works of Professor Jakes Gerwel. Often with stories about Professor Gerwel, the focus is on his leadership at the University of the Western Cape during the struggle years, his wise political counsel and later his directorship in the office of President Nelson Mandela. Speaking from Paulet House, Theo was able to shed light on his early years in the Eastern Cape and the works being carried out there in his name, today.
